Introduction

The Bible is the chosen book of worship in Christianity. Despite the diversity, it is often used with pure and unbiased devotion. Several groups exist within Christianity in which a major denomination is formed by the Catholics. Others, however, include Protestants such as Pentecostals, Methodists, and others. There might be slight differences in their beliefs and practices, but all these groups give exceptional importance to the Holy Bible. Catholics may also use the Apocrypha in their worship. These variations sometimes create doubts among the followers when deciding on which book to pray with. However, the "holy bible" and the King James Version are the most famous and common among believers.

Different variations may differ in the testaments they include. The Catholic version, which involves only old testaments, is considered more authentic and original.

Both these books are equal in tradition and belief. However, they may be different only based on the inclusion of testaments in each book. The Holy Bible is the only one that also includes the original Old Testament. On the other hand, the King James Version, although it includes both the old and new testaments, has only the translation of the old testaments made available. For the same reason, the former may be considered more relevant, especially by priests and others.

This was done by the Church of England during the eighteenth century. This book, which was commissioned in 1604 and published in 1611, was sponsored by King James VI and I. The Books of the King James Version In total, they include 39 books from the Old Testament, a section containing 14 books by Protestants called the Apocrypha, and the 27 books from the New Testament. It was remarkably noted for its "majesty of style". The King James Version is considered one of the most important books that mark the beliefs and traditions of English culture. This was a great milestone for developing belief among its followers and a driving force in the shaping of the English-speaking followers of Christ.

The King James Version was first printed by John Norton and Robert Barker, who both held the post of King's Printer. This was the third translation into the English language approved by the English Church in England. This included the translations from Hebrew and Greek scriptures, which also influenced the writing of the Authorized King James Version.

Later, King James convened the Hampton Court Conference, where a new English version was developed, addressing previous errors that existed in the books with earlier translations perceived by the Puritans, [7] a faction of the Church of England. The original translation was done by six panels of translators (47 men in all, most of whom were leading biblical scholars in England) who had the work divided up between them.

James provided strict and predefined instructions to ensure that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology and also reflect the episcopal structure of the Church of England and its belief in its clergy.

The main translations of the old testaments included in the King James version are from Hebrew and Aramaic. The New Testament was translated from Greek and the Apocrypha from Greek and Latin.

In total, the King James Version has thirty-nine Old Testaments and twenty-seven New Testaments included. The Apocrypha a book also followed by the Roman Catholics is not fully included in the King James Version, unlike the Holy Bible.
